TREKKING AND HIKING ON ETNA
Some of the most spectacular trails in the Etna National Park begin just metres from the Residence, through ancient larch pine forests, lava flows and unique views of the volcano.
From here you can easily reach:

In winter, many of these trails become cross-country ski runs, making the area perfect for snow sports too.

STARGAZING AT THE ASTROPHYSICAL OBSERVATORY
The Residence is next to the Astrophysical Observatory of the University of Catania — just 50 metres from the building. Guided evening visits and stargazing nights are available for guests.
At 1,735 metres, with zero light pollution in the surrounding area, conditions for astronomy and night photography are exceptional. A rare experience, hard to find anywhere else in Sicily.
